Living My Purpose

I do what I can to live as a Christian should. To fulfill my purpose. Most of the time, I fall short. These biblical verses/passages help remind me of that purpose.

Romans 12.2 Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.

Psalm 138.8 The Lord will fulfill his purpose for me;
your steadfast love, O Lord, endures forever.
Do not forsake the work of your hands.

Ecclesiastes 12.13-14 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God and keep His commandments, For this is man’s all.
For God will bring every work into judgment,
Including every secret thing,
Whether good or evil.

John 14.27 Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

Matthew 5:13 You are the salt of the earth…

Ephesians 2:10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.

Mark 12.30 And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ This is the first commandment.

Micah 6.8 He has shown you, O man, what is good;
And what does the Lord require of you
But to do justly,
To love mercy,
And to walk humbly with your God?

Psalm 90.12 So teach us to number our days,
That we may gain a heart of wisdom.

Psalm 119.105 Your word is a lamp to my feet
And a light to my path.

Proverbs 12.15 The way of a fool is right in his own eyes,
But he who heeds counsel is wise.

Ephesians 3.20 Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us…

John 8.12 Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.”

Proverbs 3.5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
And lean not on your own understanding…

Philippians 4.7 …and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

1 Thessalonians 4.11 …that you aspire to lead a quiet life, to mind your own business, and to work with your own hands.

Matthew 7. 13-14 Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.

Luke 8.25 Where is your faith?

Matthew 25.35-36 for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.

Hebrews 13.16 But do not forget to do good and to share, for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.

Mother Maria Skobtsova – from the introduction: a poet of life – this transfiguration of the world requires creative contemplation, active love, the most heartrending personal compassion, and the ability to reinvent life. It is a question of giving human beings not only bread, but also beauty, opportunity, and celebration.
